The Purpose

The purpose of this blog is to encourage the family of Four Mile Church to eat God's word on a more regular basis; to be nourished and fortified. Mile markers help you to know how far you have come and how much further you have to go. God's word is like a mile marker. My prayer is that this simple blogg helps you to partake in God's word and prayer on a more regular basis.

Please share your insights and revelations if you think they may encourage another brother or sister in Christ.

Cha cha changes. . . . .

The Mile Marker will be on hold for the next month as we are working on a website redesign.

Four Mile is encouraging our members to take the next 40 days to pray for our church and personal walks with Jesus. If you would like to receive a weekly prayer guide, contact Judi at judi@fourmile.org

See you in November . . .

Colossians 2:6-7 (New International Version)

6So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, 7rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

Do you experience giving thanks primarily as a response to positive situations, or as a discipline?

What purpose might the discipline of giving thanks play in your being rooted and built up in Christ.

Make a list of those things for which you are thankful, and then give thanks for them. (The list may even contain painful things.)
