1I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone— 2for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
Prayer
1. Give thanks for God's providence that you live in a country where you have the right to participate in Government, and the freedom to speak against it when you believe it is in the wrong.
2. Confess and repent of the sins of either apathy, or ingratitude.
3. Give thanks for the power of the cross to redeem all those who call upon his name. Pray that all who hear and experience the love of Christ would accept His offer of grace/
3. Pray for your local, state, and national government. Pray for their wisdom, discernment, and humility.
4. Thank God for revealing His truth to you, and offer yourself in service to His Kingdom as a citizen of Heaven, and ambassador to this world.
